Lewis's most distinguished and popular accomplishments include Mere Christianity, Out of the Silent Planet, The Great Divorce, The Screwtape Letters, and the universally acknowledged classics in The Chronicles of Narnia. I wanted to give the reader a sense of looking into another world, and achieved this by intricately cutting different shades of paper to build up each layer of the scene.

I don’t normally go for the montagey floating head covers, but Number 7 strikes me as better than any of the English/American Silver Chair covers.Today, we are looking at the best covers for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and the highest rated non-English Narnia covers.

But I would give it a 4 star because I know like whats going to happen next but I really enjoyed it though! I like some of the picture books David Wiesner (who did Number 4) has done, but I find his Narnia book covers to be very bland. This classic story is certain to capture young imaginations, cleverly blending elements of fairy-tale and fantasy to create a wonderfully engaging adventure. The Queen let another drop fall from her bottle on to the snow and instantly there appeared a round box, tied with green silk ribbon, which, when opened turned out to contain several pounds of the best Turkish Delight. Each piece was sweet and light to the very center and Edmond and never tasted anything more delicious. When the Pevensie children - Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy - step through a wardrobe door in the strange country house where they are staying, they find themselves in the land of Narnia. Those are very memorable moments and showing children safely interacting with a big scary lion is cool. You voted in your thousands to tell us your favourite books on our list of the top 100 best children's books from the last century.

Part of me wishes that Number 3 could have won because then the final four would have two Pauline Baynes covers and two Chris Van Allsburg covers. When Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter take a step through a sea of fur coats, they find themselves in a land of talking animals, magic and more. Handmade project // For this brief we said goodbye to the Macs and created handmade images for a book cover or film poster. I liked the book because there were a lot of mysterious parts and it's a good way for me to use my prediction skills.

All the words that has been made up the type of portal is interesting the personality of every single character in the book everything comes to life from the book! Frozen in eternal winter, Narnia is a land of snow and pine forests, and its creatures are enslaved by the terrible White Witch. Children's books are full of varied and colourful portrayals of queens: some wield Evil Powers, while others save the day in interesting ways. Lewis wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works continue to attract thousands of new readers every year. It is interesting that both the Pauline Baynes LWW covers showcase a scene right after Aslan is back from the dead.

To date, the Narnia books have sold over 100 million copies and been transformed into three major motion pictures. Tempted by the promise of endless Turkish Delight, Edmund becomes the White Witch's servant - and its up to his brother and sisters to release him from his enchantment and to rid Narnia of the witch. I love this book and it gave me many mixed feelings towards Edmund from the time he betrayed Lucy and I was scared he was going to be on the White witch's side throughout the whole story. Adult readers will be quick to spot the Christian symbolism woven through C S Lewis's story, which some critics have found problematic - but children will enjoy the magic of this spellbinding adventure in its own right.
