Background: Graham's 10 Years Old is made from wines of the very highest quality which, following careful selection, are matured in seasoned oak casks of 534 litres until their peak of maturity is reached. We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented here and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product. All of Graham’s Tawny Ports have their own individual characteristics, the complex flavours and aromas that pervade each of these unique wines have been developed through selecting only our top quality wines from Graham’s four spectacular Quinta’s in the Douro Valley to age in seasoned oak casks in our 1890 Lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia.

Grahams is the hardest port house to visit as it is up a steep hill with most of the others being on the riverside.

These are among the most demanding and challenging styles of Port to produce requiring great skill and years of experience from the winemaker and blender.Fabulous accompaniment to dark chocolate, but can also be enjoyed on its own: an experience in itself. With five mountain vineyards located in different parts of the Upper Douro Valley, the world’s first demarcated wine region, W J Graham’s draws the very best wines from each important sub-region.

It epitomises the passion for excellence and precision that is at the heart of every one of Graham's handmade tawny ports. Graham’s, which is one of the most respected names in the Port trade, is also one of the most innovative and has firmly established itself as the world’s leading luxury Port house through the development of its premium wines. It is sometimes referred to as the Alto Douro (upper Douro), as it is located some distance upstream from Porto, sheltered by mountain ranges from coastal influence. Graham's was one of the first Port companies to invest in its own vineyards in Portugal's Douro Valley in 1890 and is now at the cutting edge of innovation in winemaking techniques. Each Graham's Tawny Port bottle is the result of Graham's Art of Blending and once opened, unravels fine aromas and layers of rich flavours. You learn a lot on these tours and you also get a feel for which type you prefer whether than be ruby, tawny, vintage or late bottled. The grapes that are used to make Port must be grown in the mountainous Upper Douro region of Northern Portugal, the world’s first officially demarcated wine region in 1756.
