Repeat with the remaining dough, leaving a few centimetres between each ball as they will flatten and spread as they bake. I had to make them a couple of times and play around with the ingredients and quantities before I was happy with the end result. I rated 4 stars for that reason because taste and texture is a classic and can't go wrong with these and a cup of tea! I like my hobnobs quite crunchy, they dip better I think, so you might want to start with a 12 minute bake, check and then go from there.

I have to force myself not to make them too often because I would just sit and eat them five at a time. Once thawed, these chocolate hobnobs will last in a sealed tub for 3-4 days, just like freshly made ones. McVitie's Milk Chocolate Hobnobs are golden-baked to perfection, to create the moreishly crunchy, oaty biscuit, finished with a layer of McVitie's signature silky-smooth, milk chocolate Hobnobs are packed with Oats, and so are perfect for any time of the day! I’d quite happily sit and eat a packet of chocolate biscuits without realising they are gone, and a quick afternoon snack can quite easily turn into half a packet. These biscuits still contain sugar (from the maple syrup), fats and calories, but if you’re going to indulge in a sweet treat, it might as well be something delicious that’s free from cholesterol and contains good ingredients like oats and ground almonds and no other unnecessary additives and preservatives. What I really like most is that they are not overly sweet, just a tinge of sweetness complimented by the tiny addition of salt.

And to see the remains of the biscuit at the bottom of the cup when the tea’s all gone, it’s just so sad. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. You could make them in a bigger batch, and then freeze them in portions to give as gifts, or enjoy at a later date. Use like a piping bag to drizzle chocolate over the chocolate-coated biscuits in a cross hatch pattern. Once dipped the chocolate melts and the biscuit doesn’t become utterly soggy – it retains some bite. While we have taken care in preparing this summary and believe it is accurate, it is not a substitute for your reading the product packaging and label prior to use. I think of a biscuit as a certain type of cookie: one which is thin and always dry and crunchy, never soft or chewy. Bake times vary massively depending on your oven, so my best advice is to get to know your oven and its little quirks – they all have them.Is there any way to get written directions (my ISP isn’t fast enough for videos so I can’t always watch a video)?
