Not only is my 70 year old sister experiencing cabin fever due to covid, she also lives in upstate NY and is snowed in. The episodes are: 'You've Got to Dream', 'Another Farnon', 'Andante', 'A Tricki Case', 'All's Fair' and 'A Cure for All Ills'.

And, finally, to know that your purchase does, indeed, go toward the production of new and better programming on your local PBS station is simply the cherry on this chocolate/raspberry sundae. Il cast è davvero molto azzeccato, i personaggi sono ben caratterizzati e una volta iniziata la visione non si smetterebbe mai!

The only thing that puzzles me slightly is why there are so many DVD’s- why was it not possible to put more than two episodes on each disc? We will publish your review of All Creatures Great And Small [1974] on DVD within a few days as long as it meets our guidelines.

Synopsis: All 91 episodes of the 1980s BBC drama series following events in a veterinary practice supporting the local farming community in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1930s. When local farmer's daughter Helen Alderson (Rachel Shenton) attracts James' attention, he finds another, more enduring reason to stay in the Dales.

As well as the vet tales, it also includes events that were taking place at the time as the second World War was approaching. It’s lovely to be able to watch them all again so many years after watching the series when it was aired on the BBC in the 1970’s. As local farmer's daughter Helen Alderson (Rachel Shenton) wins James's heart he soon finds himself falling in love with more than just the Dales. As a 25-year pet and home care professional, I can tell you in all honesty that I have seen each episode of this most beloved of BBC period dramas set in the Yorkshire Dales (high windswept and frigid in Winter) at least 5 to 7 times; and that the writing is so good that I would find a number of new wrinkles and perspectives on each viewing. Superb performance by the cast of the new updated series, The first show in 1978-1990 was ok, but it didn’t get the characters right as described by the books, Siegfried was too old, and Tristan, the first Helen, and James were not on the mark. All six episodes of the miniseries set in the 1930s and based on the popular books by James Herriot. One season was just stuck inside the plastic case loose (the plastic case only has spaces for 6 seasons).
